CVS Health

CVS Health is partnering with Google Cloud to create Health 100, a newly formed health technology division responsible for developing an integrated digital platform aimed at improving how consumers engage with their healthcare.

The platform will incorporate agentic artificial intelligence to create a seamless, omnichannel user experience. Google Cloud will provide the technical backbone through its enterprise tools, cloud APIs and Gemini AI functionalities. It will also gather information from sources for th benefit of the consumers. According to CVS, the initiative is designed to function as a continuously available digital health companion for users.

Through Health 100, individuals will gain access to information and tools intended to reduce the effort required to stay on top of their healthcare. This includes expanded visibility into pricing and insurance benefits so users can more easily monitor and manage their medical expenses.

The platform will also integrate care management services delivered by pharmacists, drawing on the expertise of a clinical workforce that CVS says is trusted but often not fully utilized.

Tony Ambrozie, SVP and chief digital officer for CVS’ Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness division, said during a media call that patients’ health information is frequently scattered across multiple systems, making it challenging to obtain a comprehensive view of their medical history.

As a result, patients are often left to gather that information on their own, a process he described as time-consuming and complicated. Even after assembling those details, individuals may still struggle to understand the potential costs of their care or determine how to make the most effective use of their health benefits.

Ambrozie said uncertainty itself generates friction, while fragmentation leads to fatigue that ultimately drives disengagement. He added that Health 100 is intended to gradually address and change those dynamics.

Google’s technology enables the platform to streamline workflows across multiple data inputs, including text, voice and visual content. The system can also incorporate important biometric readings collected from wearable devices, the company said in its announcement.

According to Ambrozie, artificial intelligence is applied to these combined data streams to highlight meaningful insights and recommend potential next steps for patients. He added that a major priority throughout 2026 will be building a unified, comprehensive health record that brings together a user’s medical information in one place.

He also noted that an important aspect of the Health 100 initiative is that it is being designed for a broader consumer base, not just individuals already connected to CVS’ services. The platform is intended to work for people who receive their medical or pharmacy coverage through other providers as well.

CVS expects to debut the platform later this year. Additional details and an early preview are slated to be revealed at Google’s annual healthcare event, The Check Up, scheduled for later this month.

He said the company already has a proof point across Caremark, Aetna and its pharmacy entities. He added that the next step is bringing additional partners on board so every stage of the patient experience is supported.
