- Berry Street Merges With Healt ...
Berry Street, a nutrition-focused healthcare company, has combined with India-based Healthify in a merger that the executives say creates the largest U.S. metabolic health platform using AI and covered by health insurance.
The transaction brings together Healthify’s artificial intelligence technology, including its Ria nutrition and metabolic health assistant, with Berry Street’s nationwide network of more than 2,000 clinicians and its insurance-covered nutrition and GLP-1 care services. The combined business aims to provide metabolic health support that pairs AI technology with clinician oversight while allowing patients to access the services through their health plans.
Neither company disclosed the financial terms of the transaction. Berry Street announced the merger exclusively.
More About Healthify
Healthify, which has been operating for more than a decade, has grown into a major consumer health company powered by AI. Its platform serves more than 45 million people across more than 20 cultures globally. The company initially built its business around connecting patients with dietitians for nutrition-focused treatment.
Berry Street Founder and Chief Executive Officer Noah Kotlove said Healthify had been incorporating AI into clinical care at an early stage. When he met the company toward the end of last year, he said, Healthify was seeking a U.S. partner and had already developed a model combining artificial intelligence with human clinicians to support clinically validated outcomes.
What Made the Deal Possible
After exploring Healthify’s product, Kotlove said he quickly recognized that its technology represented much of what Berry Street had planned to develop over the following one to two years.
He said both companies shared a similar vision for the evolution of metabolic healthcare and the role AI would play in it, making a merger a natural way to combine Healthify’s consumer-facing AI capabilities with Berry Street’s large, quality-focused network of clinicians whose services are covered by insurance.
The merged company will be jointly led by Kotlove and Healthify Chief Executive Officer Tushar Vashisht. Berry Street will remain the operating brand in the U.S., while Healthify will retain its name in international markets, including India and other regions where the company has established a substantial consumer presence.
More About Berry Street
Berry Street was founded in 2023 around a straightforward premise: many Americans already have substantial insurance coverage that allows them to consult registered dietitians for a wide range of chronic and severe health conditions. Because nutrition can influence many illnesses, the company focused on building a broad network that would make this benefit easier to access.
Within several years, Berry Street had developed a network of registered dietitians covering all 50 states. Kotlove said patients can generally meet with these clinicians without paying anything out of pocket.
Berry Street raised $50 million in February 2025 in a financing round backed by Northzone, FJ Labs and Sofina.
The company provides individualized, evidence-based metabolic healthcare through a nationwide clinician network numbering more than 2,000 providers, having treated over 200,000 patients through partnerships with health plans and consumer platforms, including Walmart and Amazon.
Healthify Merger Expands AI Metabolic Care
Healthify has merged with U.S. nutrition-care company Berry Street in a deal designed to expand AI-powered metabolic healthcare.
The merger creates an opportunity to build a broader model for managing metabolic health. Berry Street’s established clinical network can provide personalized support, while artificial intelligence can help patients maintain engagement between appointments.
Personalized Nutrition Support
Nutrition remains an important part of metabolic health management. Digital tools can make it easier for patients to track meals, identify patterns, and receive personalized recommendations. Combining these capabilities with professional guidance could provide a more continuous care experience.
Supporting Patients Using GLP-1 Treatments
The growing use of GLP-1 medicines has increased demand for nutritional and lifestyle support. Patients often need guidance on eating habits, weight management, and maintaining healthy routines alongside medication. A technology-enabled care model could help providers address these needs at greater scale.
