- Infinitus Announces AI Agents ...
Artificial intelligence communications firm Infinitus has introduced a new suite of agentic AI tools aimed at helping pharmaceutical sales representatives and field reimbursement teams manage larger workloads and support more healthcare providers.
The company is expanding its AI technology beyond payer and call-center applications into pharmaceutical commercial operations with FieldForce. The platform consists of AI agents designed to help pharma field teams increase their capacity without requiring additional personnel.
FieldForce agents are intended to assist sales representatives throughout their interactions with healthcare professionals. Before meetings, the technology can connect with customer relationship management systems and assemble relevant information to help representatives prepare. During and after those encounters, the agents can capture notes and update CRM records. Infinitus also offers agents capable of handling inbound provider calls around the clock, allowing healthcare professionals to obtain answers between meetings with field representatives.
For field reimbursement managers, FieldForce can handle questions involving claims, reimbursement and prior authorization status. The agents can also help provider offices complete onboarding using approved materials and resources.
Infinitus CEO and co-founder Ankit Jain said the product was developed in response to a recurring issue raised by pharmaceutical customers: field teams are increasingly responsible for serving more providers and navigating more complicated situations while working with unchanged or reduced staffing levels.
Jain added that Infinitus views AI as a tool for expanding the capabilities of field personnel rather than eliminating their roles. He explained that FieldForce can provide assistance before and after provider meetings, as well as during the periods between interactions, allowing employees to concentrate more heavily on relationship-building and situations that demand human judgment.
According to Jain, the launch also reflects a wider transformation in the pharmaceutical industry as companies face pressure to raise productivity and operate with greater efficiency. He said organizations that successfully implement AI are finding ways to substantially expand what their existing teams can accomplish, with FieldForce built around that AI-focused model.
Jain identified Infinitus’ healthcare-specific foundation as another feature distinguishing FieldForce from generic AI systems. The agents draw on the company’s experience handling millions of interactions involving patients, providers and payers, along with its proprietary dynamic knowledge graph. They also incorporate company-specific information and approved resources supplied by individual pharmaceutical customers.
He mentioned that this combination gives the agents greater awareness of the specialized requirements and distinctions involved in highly regulated pharmaceutical workflows.
Infinitus is also incorporating its conversational insights engine, Infinitus Lens, to track interactions and identify broader patterns, including prescribing trends. Jain said the technology can give field managers a much faster view of activity across their organizations than conventional reporting processes.
FieldForce is built on the same underlying platform capabilities that support the wider Infinitus system, according to Jain, allowing the company to extend its existing AI infrastructure into pharmaceutical field operations.
Another benefit of FieldForce is its capabilities to utilize technology to adhere to the required legal standards – it does that through multiple operating mechanisms like pulling LLMs to ensure SOP compliance and having the agents transfer relevant calls to the firm’s Medical Information team with proper context.
Infinitus Introduces AI Agents for Pharmaceutical Teams
Infinitus is advancing the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare communications with AI agents designed to help pharmaceutical teams improve visibility across their activities and workflows. As life sciences organizations manage increasingly complex operations, Infinitus highlights how AI-powered tools can help teams access information more efficiently, identify important insights, and coordinate their work.
The growing adoption of AI in the pharmaceutical industry reflects a broader shift toward automation, data-driven decision-making, and more connected commercial operations. Infinitus aims to support this transformation by helping teams reduce manual work and make better use of available information.
How Infinitus AI Agents Can Improve Visibility
Visibility is important for pharmaceutical teams that coordinate communications, manage customer interactions, and evaluate operational performance. When information is spread across different systems, teams may struggle to understand progress, identify gaps, or respond quickly to changing priorities.
