primary care service

CrossFit HQ announced the launch of CrossFit Precision Care (CPC), their new primary care service. The CEO and Owner of CrossFit Eric Roza stated that CrossFit’s newest launch is “a primary care service provided by CrossFitters for CrossFitters,” and dubbed it a service as “fitness meeting health care for the first time.”

CPC was the result of a partnership between Wild Health, a healthcare and telemedicine provider, and CrossFit Games. This collaboration was spearheaded by CrossFit’s Dr. Julie Foucher, Lincoln Brown, Dr. Mike Mallin, and Wild Health CEO Dr. Matt Dawson.

CPC aims to provide patients with health advice that takes their training regime, goals, and medical history into account and provides this advice in a way that is understandable for patients at all skill levels. CPC users will have access to plans that are based on an assessment of their lifestyle including exercise, sleep, diet, and chronic disease risk.

The waitlist to participate in the beta testing phase of CPC has become available for registration as of 5th October 2021. CPC will be available to half of the US on a state-by-state basis, with expansion nationwide in the upcoming year. The waitlist can be signed on at care.crossfit.com.

More information regarding the coaching side of CPC can be accessed at care.crossfit.com as well.

Benefits to CPC patients include CrossFit-trained doctors; data-backed recommendations that include best practices to change habits; personalized care aimed at finding the risk and root causes of symptoms; an interactive dashboard for continuously tracking health; and unlimited access to assigned doctors and health coaches.

Foucher, the 2012 CrossFit Games runner-up and 2014 bronze-medalist, explained that health is built at the gym and not at a doctor’s office.  New registered patients at CPC will go through a thorough DNA analysis and blood panel as well as fill questionnaires regarding their lifestyle, fitness goals, and workout habits.

International expansion of CPC is planned, however, no specific dates are mentioned for this expansion. Currently, it is first-come, first-serve. Those who wish to receive training to become a coach have the option to sign up at CPC for their offered training program.
