Komodo Health has persisted in its investment in generative AI features, seeing the promise of AI-driven conversational language to assist health research groups in analyzing vast amounts of data. The health data firm launched a new AI analytics tool, MapAI, as an integral component of its comprehensive platform, MapLab.

According to Laurent Bride, the CTO of Komodo Health, MapAI and another innovative application, MapExplorer, allow healthcare practitioners to dig into any therapeutic domain by posing inquiries in straightforward language.

MapAI utilizes generative AI anchored in natural language processing to analyze Komodo’s Healthcare Map, which comprises de-identified data from over 330 million interactions between patients throughout the healthcare system. The no-code ChatGPT-like application allows health research groups as well as individuals without coding expertise to swiftly assess medication trends, monitor disease transmission, and assess patient treatment.

The tool promotes expedited decision-making by allowing users, regardless of their proficiency or expertise with healthcare data, to use spoken language to obtain clear responses to intricate analytical inquiries within minutes rather than hours or days, according to Komodo Health officials.

Komodo’s MapAI program lets users pose healthcare-related inquiries in conversational language, decreasing the need to involve data professionals in preliminary investigations.

Bride explained that for AI to provide value in healthcare, a strong data infrastructure is crucial, which is where MapAI stands out. In the past decade, the company has created diverse tools designed to address users’ requirements, providing solutions that span from no-code to high-code options.

This strategy can help the team develop a framework of analytics that allows life sciences, providers, developers, and payers to generate meaningful insights.

Insights obtained from MapAI can be seamlessly integrated into MapView, Komodo’s no-code software on the MapLab structure, which includes pre-configured analytic plugins for market and illness analysis, healthcare provider and patient segmentation, and brand performance evaluation.

MapAI substantially reduces the time required to gain insights, enabling users to swiftly test and refine ideas before engaging in more extensive and expensive research.

It is the latest enhancement to the MapLab platform, debuting simultaneously with another innovative, AI-driven application named MapExplorer. This solution is intended for organizations unfamiliar with the Healthcare Map, providing them with point-and-click capabilities and conversational AI attributes, as stated by the firm.
