Solera

Solera Health is adding Noom to its weight management network, giving health plan and employer members access to Noom Weight, a diabetes prevention program and a GLP-1 companion service. The partnership expands Solera’s digital-first options for people seeking weight management and diabetes prevention support.

  • Noom has joined Solera Health’s weight management network.
  • Members will gain access to Noom Weight and a CDC Full Plus-recognized Diabetes Prevention Program.
  • Noom’s GLP-1 Companion program will be available to eligible members at no additional cost.
  • Solera’s network already includes weight management providers such as Betr, Transform, Weight Watchers and Modify Health.
  • Noom reports that 82% of Noom Weight members lost at least 5% of their body weight after one year.
  • The company says 64% of participants in its Diabetes Prevention Program prevented or delayed the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Three Noom Programs Join Solera’s Network

Under the new partnership, Solera members can access Noom Weight, Noom’s Diabetes Prevention Program and its GLP-1 Companion offering.

Noom Weight is a digital behavior-change program focused on helping users develop longer-term habits around eating, physical activity and other behaviors associated with weight management. The program uses an app-based model rather than requiring members to attend in-person sessions.

The Diabetes Prevention Program is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the Full Plus level. The program is designed for people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and focuses on lifestyle changes intended to reduce that risk.

The third component is Noom’s GLP-1 Companion, which provides behavioral and lifestyle support for people using GLP-1 or other anti-obesity medications. Solera said the offering will be included for members without an additional cost.

Digital-First Option for Solera Members

The addition gives Solera’s network another fully digital option for weight management.

Solera operates a curated network of digital health programs for health plans and employers, using its platform to match members with programs based on their needs. The company says its network covers more than 30 clinically validated digital health programs across eight chronic condition categories.

With Noom, members can access the program through an app, including behavioral lessons, tracking tools and coaching support. Noom also incorporates AI-powered food logging and automated activity tracking into its platform.

Solera said its matching process is intended to direct members toward the program that best fits their needs rather than requiring health plans or employers to manage separate vendor relationships for each service.

Noom Reports Weight and Diabetes Outcomes

Noom’s data cited in the partnership announcement include outcomes from both of the programs being added to Solera’s network.

The company reports that 82% of Noom Weight members lost at least 5% of their body weight after one year. For its Diabetes Prevention Program, Noom reports that 64% of participants prevented or delayed the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Noom also reports an average A1C reduction of 0.28% among Diabetes Prevention Program completers. The company said its programs generated average member healthcare savings ranging from $1,219 to $5,341 over two years, depending on the program.

The figures are based on Noom’s internal data and studies.

GLP-1 Support Becomes Part of the Offering

The partnership also adds a dedicated support option for members taking GLP-1 medications.

Noom’s GLP-1 Companion is designed to supplement medication use with behavioral support, including guidance around food, activity and other lifestyle factors. The service is positioned as a companion rather than a replacement for prescribed treatment.

The addition comes as employers and health plans continue to manage growing demand for obesity treatments, including GLP-1 medications. Digital programs can provide behavioral and lifestyle support alongside medication-based approaches.

Noom Uses Behavioral Change Approach

Noom’s programs are based on behavioral-change techniques, including elements of cognitive behavioral therapy.

The company’s platform provides daily educational content, tracking tools and coaching designed to help users understand eating and activity patterns. Its current weight management platform also includes peer community features and AI-powered tools.

The Diabetes Prevention Program follows a structured approach designed around lifestyle changes that can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Solera’s Existing Weight Management Network

Noom joins several other companies already available through Solera’s weight management network.

The existing lineup includes Betr, Transform, Weight Watchers and Modify Health, giving health plans and employers multiple approaches to weight management and related metabolic health needs.

Solera’s model is based on connecting members with different types of interventions, including behavioral counseling, diabetes prevention programs and clinical support. The company uses a pay-for-performance model in which network partners are compensated based on outcomes.

Partnership Expands Employer and Health Plan Options

The addition of Noom gives Solera customers another way to provide digital weight management services without establishing a separate relationship with the company.

For Noom, joining the network provides access to Solera’s health plan and employer customer base while adding its programs to a broader set of condition-management services.

The partnership became effective September 1, 2026, with Noom’s programs now available through Solera’s network for eligible members.

Solera Health has expanded its weight management network through a new partnership with Noom, adding digital-first programs designed to support weight management, diabetes prevention, and people using GLP-1 medications. The partnership became effective September 1, 2026.

The addition gives Solera members access to Noom Weight, a CDC Full Plus-recognized Diabetes Prevention Program, and a GLP-1 Companion program offered at no additional cost to members.
